Fall Admissions Process

We understand the transfer process to a CSU or UC can be overwhelming.  We created this page to break down month by month the steps necessary for Fall Admission.  Speak to a transfer counselor if you have any questions.  Follow the link if you intend to transfer Winter/Spring Admission.

Steps To Complete For Both CSU and UC Admission:

  • Meet with a counselor to verify if you are transfer ready.
  • Visit university websites for transfer selection criteria that may be required for admission (i.e. CPSLO and CSULB).
  • Check to see if your program requires a supplemental application for admission (i.e. nursing, dance audition)
  • Check eligibility for Academic Renewal if you have substandard grades (D or F).
  • Sign-up for a University Road Trip to get an opportunity to visit campuses for free.

Steps To Complete For Both CSU and UC Admission:

  • Attend our annual UTC University Fair.  Representatives from universities will be on campus to answer all of your questions. 
  • Before submitting your university application, we highly recommend to schedule an  with a counselor to ensure your application has no errors.
  • File or renew your  or .  Your financial aid application has to be completed every year. List all universities on your financial aid application to receive award offers. 

CSU

  • The is now open to submit. 
    • Deadline, November 30
  • Attend a CSU Admission Application Workshop.
  • Application fee per campus = $70.  Fee waiver requests are embedded in the online admission application.

UC

  • The is now open to submit.
    • Deadline, November 30
  • Attend a UC Admission Application Workshop.
  • Application fee per campus= $80.  Fee waiver requests are embedded in the online admission application.

Steps To Complete For Both CSU and UC Admission:

  • Before submitting your university application, we highly recommend to schedule an  with a counselor to ensure your application has no errors.
  • Only send official transcripts if requested by the university.
  • CHECK YOUR EMAIL WEEKLY! 
    • Universities will require you to setup your university portal account and advise you of next steps.
  • Apply for the 糖心vlog蜜桃 Foundation Scholarship 
    • Deadline, February
  • Attend Scholarship Workshop.

CSU

Steps To Complete For Both CSU and UC Admission:

  • VERY IMPORTANT: Check your email regularly throughout the winter break. 
  • Make sure you have set-up login access to all university portals. Call them if you have trouble accessing your portal. This is very important!
  • Use your winter break time to organize and/or obtain university information as well as to search for scholarships, visit campuses, look into housing, scholarships, and create a university budget.

Steps To Complete For Both CSU and UC Admission:

  • Attend a University Application Follow-up Workshop to go over your next steps in the admission process. 
  • Submit official transcripts using your Hancock portal only if requested by the university.
  • Submit any supplemental applications by the scheduled deadline (i.e. nursing supplemental application).
  • File your  or

  • Complete the 糖心vlog蜜桃 Foundation Scholarship Application 
    • Deadline in February
  • If you attended a Santa Barbara County high school, complete the online 
    • Deadline January 15
  • Research and apply for scholarships.  Each university may have separate scholarship applications on their financial aid website.
  • Attend Scholarship Workshop

CSU

  • Complete  to report final fall grades and in-progress or planned coursework
    • Deadline, January 31

UC

  • Complete report final fall grades and in-progress or planned coursework
    • Deadline, January 31

Steps To Complete For Both CSU and UC Admission:

  • Attend our annual Transfer Summit to learn more about transfer opportunities and connect with university reps. 
  • Research and apply for scholarships.  Each university may have separate scholarship applications on their financial aid website.
  • Admissions decisions typically roll out in February, some may be earlier and some may come March-May.
  • Begin to explore housing options.  Housing information is usually included in your acceptance notification.
  • If earning a Hancock associate degree, apply for your degree with a counselor.  Check out next steps. 
  • If you are completing Cal-GETC, apply for your certification with a counselor.  Check out next steps.

Steps To Complete For Both CSU and UC Admission:

  • File your  or  Your financial aid application must be submitted every year. You are required to add each campus. 
    • Deadline, March 2
  • If you applied for financial aid, you will receive a financial aid award.  This award is most often posted in your university portal.  The award offer will provide a detailed description of how much aid you will receive at the university.  
  • To earn a  complete the form to let the University Transfer Center know where you will be attending in the fall.
  • If you applied for a degree and wish to participate in our Commencement Ceremony, submit a reservation form for the event.  Graduation information will be posted in April.   
  • If possible, visit prospective campuses during open house events.  Check out our University Virtual Events page for upcoming transfer events. 

CSU

  • Once you make a decision to which university you will be attending in the fall, you are required to submit your .  You are strongly encouraged to wait until you hear from each campus you have applied to before you delcare your intent to register. You may accept admission to one campus only. 
    • Deadline May 1 (may vary by campus)

UC

  • Once you make a decision to which university you will be attending in the fall, you are required to submit your .  You are strongly encouraged to wait until you hear from each campus you have applied to before you delcare your intent to register. You may accept admission to one campus only. 
    • Deadline June 1 (may vary by campus)

Steps To Complete For Both CSU and UC Admission:

  • Attend our annual Transfer Celebration which honors your hard work and dedication as you prepare for the next chapter of your educational journey.
  • Attend our annual 糖心vlog蜜桃 Commencement if you applied for an associate degree within the academic year.

Steps To Complete For Both CSU and UC Admission:

  • Submit on-campus housing application once you get your student ID number.  Most campuses have a first come, first served procedure.  Applications can be found on the campus housing website.
  • Attend your university orientation!  Most orientations are held in June or July.  Some campuses will have a transfer-specific orientation.

    CSU

    • Official AP examination results and other documents including Cal-GETC certification must be sent to the campus.
