- Explain and discuss the civic questions related to the civic questions needed to pass the citizenship evaluation.
- Apply English writing and reading skills as they relate to the U.S. citizenship application process.
- Students learn about the Constitution, government, history, and geography of the United States in preparation for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) required oral interview and exam. The class also familiarizes students with requirements and exclusions for citizenship.
- This course is designed as an addition to the citizenship preparation course. Citizenship applicants must pass a face-to-face interview with an immigration officer to qualify for citizenship. In this course, topics will cover the N-400 application questions and how to answer them. Students will practice basic English conversational skills, as well as key definitions of the words used in the application.
Students who plan to apply for U.S. citizenship must meet federal naturalization eligibility requirements, including having lawful permanent resident status.
A Permanent Resident Card, commonly called a Green Card, is evidence of lawful permanent resident status.
All students are welcome to take ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ Citizenship Preparation classes, even if they are not yet ready to apply for naturalization.
